PDIR was founded as Penn Del in 1955 as a solutions provider of Process Control Instrumentation. In the last fifty years, we have built an organization devoted to its customers and proud of the value its employees and products create.

In 1989 the company was re-incorporated as Penn Del Inc., a subchapter s corporation, as ownership had changed. We operated as Penn Del Inc. from 1989 up until June of 2005 when we merged with another firm, Industrial Representatives Inc., located in Clifton NJ. In June of 2005 we reincorporated once again as PDIR (a combining of the names PDI and IRI) as the current PDIR LLC. At the time of the merger in 2005, both former corporations (Penn Del and Industrial representatives) were dissolved and we now operate as one company, PDIR LLC.

The new, combined company, PDIR now has 5 full time active sales people covering MD, DE, NJ, Eastern PA and the Metro NY area. We have two offices, one in Clifton and one here in Furlong, PA. In addition to the field sales group, we have two inside support staff in each of the offices.

Our technical salespeople along with the knowledgeable sales assistants total over 200 years of experience. Our territory covers Eastern Pennsylvania east of Altoona, All of New Jersey, New York metropolitan area, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and parts of Virginia. PDIR’s position as a solutions provider in this territory is strong and we recognize the requirements needed to be successful in the growing industrial and environmental markets.

By the nature of our principals, we routinely call on a variety of industrial and municipal accounts in our territory. Industries we serve include chemical manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, the oil and petrochemical industry, the food & beverage industry, and the aggregate and cement industry. We also are fortunate to have many specifying engineers in our geographic area.

PDIR’s product base has historically been process control instrumentation including primary measuring elements and transmitters. In recent years, we have expanded into the control side of instrumentation and work closely with system integrators to provide complete solutions. We offer installation and startup services for all of the products we provide.

Providing customers with complete solutions that bring value to their operation has always been and will continue to be our primary objective.
